Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is a more therapeutic approach to asana practice. The physical focus is to relieve stress and tension in common problem areas, build strength and balance—however without creating more tension in specific joints such as the wrists, knees, low back, neck and shoulders. Students are often guided with different breathing, concentration and meditation techniques to reduce stress and subtle tension in the body. Recommended for students who are recovering from injury/working with chronic pain and/or would welcome some stress relief techniques into their daily life.
